by: Jenneth Kate Telebanco
The whole CST-R Community gathered at the CST-R Covered Court on October 10, 2017 at 3PM to celebrate their special day, the feast of their Patron, St. Thomas of Villanova.
Most rev. Gerardo Alminaza, DD, Bishop of San Carlos, graced the occasion by being the Presider and Homelist in a Solemn Mass in Honor of St. Thomas of Villanova. Concelebrating with him were the OAR brothers and Rev. Fr. Louie Gabinete, OAR, a representative from UNO-R, Bacolod City.
This years’ celebration of the feast of St. Thomas took a special significance for all of us Thomasians as our ecclesial community and for the local Church of San Carlos. Within the Mass, a Profession of Faith by Grade 12 student, Febbie Kristel Carbajosa, who was a baptized Catholic but later was converted and received baptism as an Adventist, took place to signify her formal reintegration to our Catholic Community.
A procession within the City took place after the mass. Once everyone had arrived from the procession, they offered prayers for the saint. it was followed by a vivacious celebration of music. Viva, Sto. Thomas!
