CST-R Parent’s Forum 2017

Colegio de Sto. Tomas-Recoletos conducted a Parent’s Forum held at the CST-R Cultural Center on Saturday June 17, 2017.
This is to inform the parents about the school policies and to let them be familiar with the different functions of the school.
Masters of ceremonies, Mr. Donny Dalope and Ms. Janine Virtucio, begun the forum, presenting a video about what the school aims to achieve in every learner.
Academic Coordinator Engr Anacleto S. Velasco, Jr., spoke about how the school promotes decency inside the campus by implementing the prohibition of wearing slippers, inappropriate outfits and the like.
He also introduced the to the parents about school policies, the grading system, selection of honors students and informed them to let their children wear their uniforms on the 1st week of July.
The emcee then introduced the approved school uniform of the Junior High School Students, the type A uniform for Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts, The uniform of Band and Lyre Corps and lastly, the P.E. Uniform.
Prefect of Discipline for boys, Mr. Clint C. Cuico, then discussed about the rules and regulations of the school pertaining to vape, drinking, riding of motorcycles with licenses and then the corresponding sanctions. he also discussed about the Closed Campus Policy, Academic Probations, unpermitted cellular phones, prescribed haircut for boys and girls and new provisions which include same sex relationships, wearing make-up, intentionally sending malicious photos and posting obscene pictures on social media.
Rev. Fr. Roy B. Baluarte, OAR oriented the parents about the Campus Ministry Office, masses, and recollections.
Ms. Christine Lorren Rebucas from the Registrar’s Office spoke to the parents about the FAPE, ESC grantees, PEAC and monitoring payments.
Ms. Ma. Nita V. Bolo, the SDPC Guidance Counselor for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders, talked about how important counselling is for students and included subjects like academic performance and behavioural data, schedules and system consultation service, and PTA concerns on attendance.
Ms Marinell T. Ocampo, the Senior High Coordinator, introduced the working faculty, staff and religious administrators to the parents.
CST-R aims to develop the students morally, mentally and spiritually.
